The annual Day for Religious was held at St Chad’s Cathedral on Saturday 1 February.
Keynote speaker Fr Martin Newell CP, a Religious himself, spoke about the climate emergency.
An ecumenical Mass later in the day saw religious brothers and sisters renew their commitment to the service of Jesus Christ, the Light of the World.
The Mass was celebrated by Archbishop Bernard Longley.
