Marriage Care is a Catholic organisation committed to the life-long support of marriage, and family life. We help couples and individuals to build and sustain strong, fulfilling healthy relationships, as well as providing counselling in times of relationship difficulty. And we’ve been doing this for over 65 years.
In 2015 Birmingham team’s trained volunteers provided Marriage Preparation to 107 couples. We are now looking forward to our programme in 2016.
We offer two types of preparation:
– “Preparing Together” course: a one day programme for small groups which take place on selected weekends from 9.30 until 4.30. We are pleased to be able to offer 10 courses once again in the coming year. The list of dates is enclosed with this letter.
– FOCCUS: Individual couples meet to explore their relationship for two sessions (one and half/ two hours) with a trained facilitator.
We strongly advise that couples apply as soon as possible after booking their wedding date to ensure they are able to gain a place on a course at a time suitable to them. You will notice that the first courses for 2016 are already fully booked.
Evidence shows that couples who prepare early in their relationship appreciate the learning experience and are able to make decisions and adjustments of their expectations together before finally making the lifelong commitment to each other in the Sacrament of Matrimony.
The Preparing Together Courses will take place at the Marriage Care Birmingham Centre unless otherwise stated.
